I have always thought La Perla’s lingerie was gorgeous but to be frank I was never truly into lingerie, but when I found out they also have a Ready-to-wear line and I saw their autumn/winter collection in a catalogue, I was blown away by the beautiful designs so I decided to have a closer look and I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the designs were inspired by British gardens as captured by painters throughout the years. So a lot of florals, built in bra structured dresses and lace are the main focus of this collection. The use of lace emphasises a romantic feel even in leather jackets. I first tried on a fuchsia short silk jersey dress with embellished straps, it was comfy and I loved the colour and it seemed perfect for a night out. I then went for floral print silk slip dresses, both had a silky feel and were fun to wear. The navy and purple top with both high-waisted shorts and long pants were superb, which is surprising for me because I find it harder to find pants for myself that suit me than dresses and skirts. The purple tartan silk lace dress is inspired by British culture, and is uber cool and femine . The black and gold lace dress is romantic and sophisticated while the black leather lambskin dress is the perfect classy little black dress which is easy to style. The burgundy faux fur and leather bomber jacket has gorgeous embroidery and is definitely a unique piece. If I had to describe this collection I would say romantic perfection and I simply would want it all in my wardrobe.
